Depots: Broome, Darwin and Perth. Only for hire in combination with a 4WD car.
Would you like to travel with young children from Darwin to Perth or the other way round? And would you prefer to be able to sleep inside with the whole family? Then how about combining a Toyota Landcruiser with an off-road caravan? This combination gives you maximum freedom. After arriving at a campsite, all you have to do is fold up the roof and set up the table and chairs outside, and you're done. It couldn't be easier. Lots of comfort in the bush! Both the 4WD car and off-road caravan are permitted on the Gibb River Road and side tracks. Australia Campers is the only provider worldwide where you can hire an off-road caravan that is permitted to drive on the Gibb River Road and side tracks and of course, on many other unsealed roads.
The combination 4WD car and off road caravan is great if you regularly want to spend several days at the same campground. Big plus is that you can then explore the area by car during the day and leave the caravan at the campground. Another plus is that a 4WD car does not have a heavy body like most 4WD campers so it is more powerful in loose sand, mud or on steep trails than an almost heavy 4WD camper. The caravan has an outdoor kitchen, toilet, hot water shower, dining and seating area, permanent bed, fold-out single beds, large fresh water tank (twice the size of a 4WD camper) and solar panels with an inverter. Suitable for 5 people, but you can also travel with just the two of you, for example, in which case you will have plenty of space and comfort. The dimensions of the two bunk beds are: L 174 x W 88 cm (above the fixed double bed) and L 203 x 72 cm.
