If you want to hire affordably for a period of months, enquire about hiring a 4WD camper in its old age. Prices start from as AU$150 per day. For that amount, you will drive an older model 4WD car with rooftent, awning and full camping equipment. Please note: it is only possible to collect and return a 4WD with roof tent in Sydney. The minimum hire period is 60 days. If you intend to drive the Sydney-Adelaide-Red Centre-Top End-Cairns-Sydney route, the minimum hire period is 3 months. Enquire for a shorter hire periods makes no sense!

Features: Various car brands, diesel or petrol, manual or automatic transmission, fuel tank from 80 up to 150 litres, 4 or 5 seats with seatbelts, 2 sleeping places in rooftent, spare wheel, radio with bluetooth, airco, bullbar, storage drawers, dual battery system, portable solar panel, manual side awning and air compressor. The year of construction ranges from 1998 to 2005.
