Depots: Broome, Darwin and Perth.
For a rental period of at least 8 weeks, a motorhome can be returned in Adelaide. From November to March, it is also possible to hire a Hilux motorhome on the Perth-Newcastle route v.v.
A Hilux motorhome is the most comfortable way to travel from Perth to Broome or Darwin, or the other way round. This model 4WD camper is permitted on the Gibb River Road and side tracks (from May until October). It is equipped with a fixed bed, dinette, shower, toilet, solar panel, a.o.
Features: Toyota Hilux 2800cc diesel, automatic transmission, airco in drivers cab (not in rear), Apple Car Pay/Android Auto, Hema HX-2 Navigator, 143 litres fuel tank, fuel consumption 12-13 litres per 100 km*, two seats with seat belts, two sleeping places, dinette, shower and toilet, gas/240V hot water system, power supply 12V and 240V, roof mounted solar panel 260W, two spare tyres (not pictured yet), snorkel (not pictured yet), bullbar and awning with built-in LED lighting. This model is from 2025, included in the rental fleet per 1 May 2026. The minimum drivers age is 25. This 4WD camper is permitted on a.o. the Gibb River Road and sidetracks, to the Jim Jim and Twin Falls, in Purnululu NP, Millstream-Chichester NP, to Gnaraloo Station, in Francois Peron NP, Kennedy Range NP, Fitzgerald River NP, Cape Arid NP, etc. * Depends on road conditions, driving style and airco use. Dimensions: length 580, width 220, height 310 and headroom 198 cm.
Please be aware that booking welll in advance is a necessity for this popular model! Because of the standard limited availability in this category (only 5 in fleet), the Hilux motorhomes are fully booked well in advance. This is particularly for the dry season, from May to October, when the unsealed roads in tropical northern Australia are in good to reasonably good condition. Most hirers travel during these months in areas such as the Kimberley, the Top End and the Cape York Peninsula.
